Who should you draft on your fantasy team?

Quarterbacks

1) Josh Allen is an elite quarterback with great receivers to throw to and he can use his legs to escape the pocket and score multiple touchdowns either throwing or rushing. Last year Josh Allen averaged 20.0-22.7 PPG (Points Per Game) and as well as scoring the most points in one game as a quarterback with 44.7 fantasy points!

2) Drake Maye coming off an outstanding season leading his team to the super bowl but a devastating loss to the Seattle Seahawks ending their wonderful season. Last year Drake Maye averaged 21.1 points a game and with their newly added weapon Aj Brown he will have an All-Pro wide receiver to throw to.

3) Jalen Hurts is a 2-way scoring All-Pro wide receiver who is a highly known out of the pocket scrambler and an elite slot thrower. Although he had a shaky season last year only averaging 19.3 points he is projected to score 20.8 this season. Even with the departure of Aj Brown, DeVonta Smith will step up and his short route running in the slot may limit the amount of interceptions thrown by Jalen Hurts.

4) As a Steelers fan it pains me to say but you should draft Lamar Jackson because he is an exceptional scrambler but also has a sneaky arm that will usually catch the defense on their toes. Last year Lamar averaged 18.9 points which is solid due to the fact that he missed 4 games due to a hamstring injury. With now more experienced young wide receiver Zay Flowers he will be a lot more reliable source of passing yards for him.

Running Backs

1) James Cook had an outstanding year last year with so many break away touchdowns because of his speed and agility but also because of his straight forward power running. Last year James Cook averaged 17.7 fantasy points and now that the Bills see his talent he will be a much more seen player in the playbook since last year it took him a little to prove himself to Joe Brady and of course his QB Josh Allen.

2) Christian McCaffrey is an outstanding running back who has also made his presence as a receiver. Last year Christian McCaffrey averaged an astonishing 24.5 fantasy points ranking him the number 1 running back last season. Lots of his points came exclusively from catch and runs but he also had multiple rushing touchdowns.

3) TreVeyon Henderson had an elite rookie season using his speed to get around defenders and to the edge of the field and taking any room of daylight and turning losses of 3 yards to gains of 20. Last year TreVeyon Henderson averaged 12.1 fantasy points coming off the bench. TreVeyon Henderson has clearly proved to the Patriots he is worthy of the starting spot and don’t be surprised when he averages 20 fantasy points next year.

4) Jahmyr Gibbs is a speed dominant running back who can cut to the edge and take off in the open room. Jahmyr Gibbs is considered the fastest running back in the NFL and it shows when he is on the field. Last year Jahmyr Gibbs averaged 21.6 fantasy points with breakout games above 25 points. This year I would say Jahmyr Gibbs will be averaging 22-24 points a game because Jared Goff is getting older and they need to protect him and Penei Sewell can’t do everything.

Wide Receivers

1) Puka Nacua is an All-Pro absolute beast of a player. His speed, strength, agility, and catching makes him the best receiver in the entire league. “But Karan isn’t Jaxon Smith-Njigba the best wide receiver in the league.” “Did JSN get injured for 1 game where he could have received for 100 yards because if he did he would have the league record.” Puka averaged 23.6 points a game which led all the wide receivers. Next year he will average a little under 22 points a game which is still very good.

2) Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a speedy deep-threat receiver that can look like he is running a slot (like he used to do in his rookie season) and then with an unseen burst of energy turn upfield and leave you in his dust. Last year JSN averaged 21.2 fantasy points which was second among all of the wide receivers. JSN won’t have as good a season this year but he will do something good for your fantasy team.

3) DeVonta Smith is a high level receiver that specializes in short pass sprints that leaves him running up the field for long scoring touchdowns. Last year DeVonta Smith averaged 11.9 fantasy points as a wide receiver 2. But as most of you should know DeVonta Smith is now WR1 meaning he will get most of the targets and will definitely be an underdog pick in fantasy.

4) Ja’Marr Chase is a highly known superstar who has made a name for himself over the years he has played. Ja’ Marr Chase averaged around 19.9 points per game which is very good for a WR whose QB was injured for a lot of the season. Next year Ja’ Marr Chase will have a breakout season averaging over 20 fantasy points with his healthy QB Joe Burrow.

5) George Pickens is a sneaky 3rd round pick that would help your fantasy team a lot. His deep threat presence scares defenders and then cuts in short and gets an easy 10 yards. Last year George Pickens had a breakout season and averaged an astonishing 17.2 fantasy points for a WR2 behind CeeDee Lamb. (and no I did not say George Pickens is better because he was a Pittsburgh Steeler) Next year I think George Pickens will average around 19 points.

Tight Ends

1) Trey McBride is definitely the best tight end in the league with his strong build helping him charge through defenders like it’s nothing. Last year Trey McBride averaged 19.6 fantasy points a game ranking him number 1 by more than 100 fantasy points. Next year will most likely be another high ranking year unless he gets injured.

2) Kyle Pitts Sr. is a fast, agile tight end that could possibly be seen as a wide receiver. Kyle Pitts Sr. recently signed a contract with the Falcons for over 50 million dollars! Last year Kyle Pitts Sr. averaged around 12.4 fantasy points ranking him 2nd among all tight ends. Next year looks good as he will be more experienced and has a feeling for the team.

3) Sam Laporta is a high level tight end who although had a shaky last season will bounce back up and be a top 3 tight end easily. Last year he averaged 12.3 fantasy points which ranked him 3rd tight end but still not at his best. Next year I have no doubt in my mind he will average over 15 fantasy points.

4) George Kittle is a fast, great catching tight end who despite all his injuries should be a top 3. Last year he averaged 11.6 fantasy points and he missed 6 games. If George Kittle is healthy like he was in 2018 then the defenses should look out because they will be facing a number 1 ranked tight end.

Defence

1) Pittsburgh Steelers are the most dominant defense of all time, earning the nickname the Steel Curtain. Last year they averaged 7.56 fantasy points per game which was number 9 out of all defences

2) The Chicago Bears are a very formidable defence with a great secondary and a scary D-line. Last year they averaged 6.56 but they had the most takeaways out of any defense and I won’t be shocked if they average 7 or more fantasy points.

3) The Seattle Seahawks were a very dominant defense, scaring any offense they played with an outstanding rush stopping. Last year they averaged 10.5 points a game leading all the defenses and what helped them hold the patriots to only 13 in the super bowl.

4) The Los Angeles Rams are a strong defence who used to have Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald Brrrrr. Last year the Rams averaged 8.00 fantasy points which ranked them tied for 5th place of all the NFL teams. Don’t forget the new addition of the all time sacks in one season leader Myles Garret added to the already scary enough defence!

Flex

1) James Connor is a high skill running back that uses his strength to an advantage. Last year he got injured but still averaged 11.1 points a game and only played 3 games. If James Connor is healthy he is a sneaky flex position.

2) Jameson Williams is a fast WR who can get around the edge and oppose a strong slot threat. Last year Jameson Williams averaged 12.9 points a game and is now a very reliable target for the Detroit Lions.

3) Quinshon Judkins is a 2nd year running back who met his standards until his injury only allowing him to play 14 games of the 17. Last year he averaged 12.0 points a game and became a heavy running source for the Browns. With Quinshon now having more experience he is better equipped to score more fantasy points.

Kickers

1) Ka’imi Fairbairn is considered the best kicker in the NFL and although he does not have the power of Cam Little he has the accuracy. Last year he averaged 12.0 points per game leading all other kickers.

2) Brandon Aubrey is a power accurate kicker who was the number 1 kicker till Ka’imi swooped in and took that from him. Last year he averaged 11.0 points per game and was very reliable for most fantasy teams.

3) Cam Little does not kick little. He is the longest field goal kicker in the league with the record at 68. Last year he averaged 9.6 fantasy points, a smart pick by anyone who chose him.
